How is blogging different from texting? A text is a brief and casual message where words are shortened and punctuation is often missing. On the other hand, writing in a blog is more in depth and formal. Correct spelling and punctuation is used. Blog posts are longer and contain interesting details to illustrate the author's point. Blog writers are serious about their writing and look forward to feedback from their readers.
How is blogging different from social networking like Facebook or Twitter? The writing on Facebook and Twitter sounds like casual talking. The topics are often trivial and about a person's daily life. In contrast, bloggers write about topics that they consider important to them and to others.
